5 Bloggers that can help you start a Blog
I’ve only been blogging since August but I’ve been so lucky to get so much help and guidance from other blogging moms. I’ve been keeping track of what’s been helpful and what’s not useful.
Setting up a Blog
There is a ton of blogs about the step by step process of setting it all up. But my all time favorite resource is the Design your own Blog website. Marianne has an amazing detailed e-book that is probably my main go to for all things design on the blog. It’s 178 pages full of tips, tricks, and worksheets. In addition to the amazing e-book, she has listed so many great resources on her site for FREE! HTML code cheat sheets, image resources, tips on writing, email lists, and she’s always sending great freebies to her email subscribers. This book is worth every penny.
Once your all setup with a design, the most important step is creating content. The more content you have the more opportunities you have for traffic. I really didn’t start getting any traffic until I had about 20 posts going. While developing my posts, I go through this Blog Post Tool Kit , this kit gives your step by step what you need to maximize your posts and after you’ve published what to do to promote your post.
Learning from seasoned bloggers has been so important on this journey. There is quite a few courses out in the blog world but some cost hundreds and when your just starting out you don’t really want to or have a lot of disposable income to spend on course. Here’s a few that didn’t cost a lot but gave me really valuable information that I’ve been able to use to grow my skills both on my blog and through social media.
Inez is the blogger over at For the Love of Mom, she has been an amazing influence on myself and other bloggers just starting out. She has 2 paid courses one on affiliate marketing and one on becoming a social media influencer. She also offers a 7 day course on growing your instagram followers that has worked wonders! She also is one of the admins in the Facebook group Mom Blog Tribe. This group is a great quality group full of other moms trying to figure out this social media/blogging world.
Saira’s Twitter Legend free course was the first course I took to help get my social media accounts more focused. Saira also has many blog posts and resources to help with monetizing your blog and other helpful information.
I learned so much from those bloggers and continue to work on building my posts and audience.
When I start to feel stuck I get on Pinterest and start pinning from other bloggers, reading their posts always help get me to jump back in and write. Check out my Pinterest board on Blogging for tons more links.
